Upcoming Virtual Event for SAPFM Members!
Please join Dan Faia- cabinetmaker, educator, and 2023 Cartouche Award recipient- for a Zoom presentation on Wednesday, April 17th from 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm (EST).
Dan will share highlights about some of his past and current projects, with a focus on design, materials, construction, and procedures. In addition, there will be a discussion about educational opportunities in woodworking, the influence of traditional methods in the modern era, and planning for the future of the craft.
All SAPFM members are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Dan’s Bio:
Dan Faia has been a professional woodcarver, furnituremaker, chairmaker, and educator since 1994. He currently operates a studio and small group workshop program in Rollinsford, New Hampshire. Dan has also taught extensively at woodworking schools across New England, and participated in demonstrations, presentations, and exhibits for various museums and organizations throughout his career. He has published numerous articles in Fine Woodworking and other digital and print media, and recently produced a video workshop series on measuring and reproducing a Queen Anne side chair with Fine Woodworking. Dan is an active member of SAPFM, the Guild of NH Woodworkers, and the NH Furniture Masters, and his commission work is displayed in both private and public collections.
